Gautamiputra Satakarni Movie First Day Collection: Nandamuri Balakrishna’s prestigious 100th film ‘ Gautamiputra Satakarni aka GPSK‘ hit the big screens on January 12 as Sankranti festival treat to fans and audience. The film has got a brilliant opening and received super hit talk from audience and film critics. GPSK made the superb collection at the US box office in the premiere shows on Wednesday.

Gautamiputra Satakarni has collected $363,000[Rs 2.4 crores] from 117 screens at the US box office in the premiere shows and joined the eighth slot in the top 10 highest grossing Telugu films. GPSK film’s US distributor 9 PM Entertainments tweeted, “12th“#GautamiPutraSatakarni #USA premiers collects #367k from 117 locations. #top8 highest opening at #US @DirKrish @shriya1109,[sic]”

          

Reportedly, The film was made on a budget of Rs 70 crore. It has released more than 3000+ screens worldwide. The movie was declared tax-free in Two Telugu states Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The entertainment Tax in the Two states is at 15%. Tax exemption hugely helps film’s Telangana and AP box office performance to some extent. It is expected to collect 15 to 20 crores on the first day at worldwide box office.

National award winner, director Krish Jagarlapudi has collaborated with Nandamuri Balakrishna for his 100th movie ‘Gautamiputra Satakarni’. The biopic, which is based on the life of Satavahana ruler Gautamiputra Satakarni, who is believed to have ruled during the 2nd century AD. Epic drama Gautamiputra Satakarni also created another record by completing shooting in 75 days.

The film stars Nandamuri Balakrishna, Shriya Saran, Hema Malini, Kabir Bedi and Shiva Rajkumar in lead roles. Chirantan Bhatt has composed music and Cinematography is handled by Gnana Shekar V.S, while editing is handled by Suraj Jagtap & Rama Krishna Arram.The film is bankrolled by Saibabu Jagarlamudi & Y. Rajeev Reddy on First Frame Entertainment banner.
